Okay, um, today's video is actually pretty simple, wait, let me start over actually pretty simple: I'll show you how your rough cut takes care of itself, [4s of silence] while you're already filming the next episode.

Scene 02 · The Problem

Editing eats your hours, not shooting.

Raw footage is done in ten minutes. Then you sit in the editor for hours repeating the same three moves: cut the uh, trim the pause, delete the stumble. Mechanical work that keeps you from the next video.

  • Removing filler words and pauses costs hours per video.
  • You hunt for words in waveforms instead of reading them in a transcript.
  • Every retake needs to be found manually, reviewed, and deleted.

You edit words, the cutter cuts the video.

AgenticCutter transcribes your recording and shows you the edit as text. You say in plain language what should happen: tighten it, keep the take, cut harder. The cutter suggests, you approve, it renders. Controlled directly from Claude Code or Codex, everything on your machine.

Scene 03 · How it works

How it works

Three steps from raw footage to finished video. You stay in control, the cutter does the work.

  1. Suggest

The cutter transcribes your recording and shows you the cut as text. Filler words, pauses, and slip-ups are highlighted so you see at a glance what can go.

  2. Approve

You read the transcript and say in plain language what should stay: cut tighter, keep a take, remove the ums. You decide, the cutter executes.

  3. Render

The cutter edits and exports locally as mp4 or ProRes. No upload, no cloud, no waiting on someone else's servers.

Less explaining, more showing: in eight seconds, watch raw footage turn into a finished cut. You set the direction, the agent does the work.

Scene 04 · What for

What AgenticCutter actually handles

Six editing jobs you still do by hand today. AgenticCutter takes care of them automatically, right inside your timeline.

For those who cut their own videos.

If you know your footage, like your voice, and still have no interest in spending another hour in the editor, the cutter is built for you.

  • Solo YouTubers in German-speaking markets (DACH) who publish regularly.

  • Course creators who need clean cuts lesson by lesson.

  • Privacy-conscious Mac users who want nothing uploaded to the cloud.

What the cutter does today, and where it is going.

Thirteen features are already running. The rest is on the roadmap, with a clear order instead of vague promises.

Scene 05 · Proof & Private

Built by someone who builds with AI every day.

No marketing numbers, no invented user counts. A solo builder with verifiable practice and a tool that runs in real production daily. If a number appears here, it comes from a real episode.

by Bernhard Götzendorfer

  • 1st place BitGN PAC Hackathon Vienna

Built solo in 3 hours on-site, Vienna, April 2026. Score: 79 out of 104 possible points.

  • Daily AI agent work since late 2024

Over 250 prototypes and more than 10,000 documented AI engineering sessions.

  • Runs in real production daily

AgenticCutter is not a demo. The builder cuts his own videos with it.

  • Local, tested stack

Directed by Claude, transcription runs locally via mlx-whisper, cutting runs locally via ffmpeg. Your footage stays on your Mac, only the transcript text goes to the cut-brain.

  • Three episodes shipped fully autonomously

Vibecode episodes #11 through #13 ran autonomously all the way to the live video: 0 of 2,185 words accidentally lost in episode #13, 82% and 58% keep ratio decided autonomously by the agent.

Your footage never leaves the Mac.

Transcription, editing, rendering: everything runs on your machine. No upload, no third-party server sees your recordings. What you shoot stays with you, only the transcript text for the cut decision goes to the cut-brain, optionally fully local via LM Studio.

  • Transcription via mlx-whisper, cutting via ffmpeg, both on-device.
  • No upload of your video, optional local LLM via LM Studio.
  • Zero-Cloud Guard blocks any network access that is not necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do my videos go? Are they stored on external servers?

Nowhere. Your video stays on your Mac. Transcription runs with mlx-whisper, cutting with ffmpeg, rendering locally. No upload, no external server sees your footage, only the transcript text for the cut decision goes to the cut-brain (more on that in the next question).

Can I use my own LLM? And what about Claude Code or Codex?

Yes. Your video footage always stays local on the Mac. If you steer via Claude Code or Codex, your edit instructions go to that provider. To keep the entire loop offline, connect a local LLM via LM Studio, and no copy leaves your machine.

When can I download AgenticCutter?

The download is live: get AgenticCutter for macOS via the download button on this page. The first 7 days are free, then you choose a subscription or a one-time purchase.

Does AgenticCutter run on Windows or Linux?

Currently macOS only. The app uses native macOS features such as Swift and Menu Bar integration.

How do I control the cutter? Do I need to code?

You work through the native macOS app with drag and drop, a Review UI, and an Approve Gate. Or you control the cutter directly via Claude Code or Codex using natural language. The cutter proposes, you approve, it renders.

What does AgenticCutter cost?

Try it free for 7 days, all you need is an email address. After that: 7.99 € per month, 49 € per year, or 99 € once. The one-time purchase is limited to the first 100 and includes all future updates.

Is there any outbound data traffic? Is it GDPR-compliant?

Your footage always stays on your Mac. In the default setup, only the transcript text for the cut decision goes to the cut-brain (Claude Code or Codex), which is standard data processing like any cloud tool. If you want zero data leaving at all, enable a local LLM via LM Studio (Zero-Cloud mode), then no copy ever leaves your machine.

What does the cutter do today, and what is still in progress?

Thirteen features are already running, from filler-word removal to transcript-driven cuts to the native macOS app. Three more are visibly marked as in progress. We show the order openly rather than making vague promises.
