Glossary
Six terms appear on this site without ever being explained. Here they are, one sentence each, no marketing, no follow-up question needed.
- EDL
- An edit decision list as a file: which parts of your video stay and which go. AgenticCutter first decides only inside this list, rendering happens after you approve.
- ASR
- Automatic speech recognition: your audio becomes a transcript with timestamps. It runs locally on your Mac and is the basis of every cut decision.
- LUFS
- The unit for perceived loudness. AgenticCutter normalises audio to a fixed target so your episodes sound equally loud.
- Retake
- A second (third, fourth) recording of the same passage because the first one failed. Exactly one of them survives the cut.
- Filler word
- Uhs, ums and hesitation words without meaning. They are detected in the transcript and removed from the timeline silently.
- Gentle, standard, aggressive
- The three cut strengths: gentle keeps breathing pauses, standard is the everyday value, aggressive trims every pause to the minimum.
